Kakurega means “shelter.”

It’s a little difficult to find the place at basement floor but filled with Japanese calm atmosphere.

f:id:tamabar:20190405133340j:image

The chef and floor manager are brother, and they started the business about 2 years ago.

Lunch menu is ONLY Hamburg steak, but 2 size, single 150g or double 300g.

Demi-glace brown sauce Hamburg is old style Japanese Western cuisine, it takes labor to make.

f:id:tamabar:20190405133408j:image

It’s is served with rice, miso-soup, salad, side dish.

Be careful about Chawan-mushi, steamed egg with Dashi, Japanese soup stock.

It’s looks like a dessert, custard pudding, but NO SWEET.

However, you must be knocked out with its exquisite smooth food texture, middle between solid and liquid.

IMADEYA liquor store (Ginza, Kinshicho)

If you would like to taste some of Japanese alcohol drinks such as sake, or select sake for gift, Imadeya is a liquor store that I highly recommend in Tokyo.

The stores are located in Ginza Six, and Kinshicho PARCO.
Both locations are near subway or JR station and very convenient.

f:id:tamabar:20190404144747j:image
Especially, Kinshicho branch has a wide drinking space, called "Kakuuchi."

f:id:tamabar:20190404144743j:image

Kaku means "corner," actually the corner of Masu, which is a Japanese Sake measuring container made from wood.

Uchi means "hit" in Japanese, and "drink" figuratively.
f:id:tamabar:20190404144751j:image

We can enjoy various kinds of alcohol drinks and some appetizers in reasonable prices at a tasting booth.

f:id:tamabar:20190404144810j:image
Even rare sake, Nihonshu which is hard to get in Tokyo, you can easily purchase in Imadeya.

f:id:tamabar:20190404144739j:image

Moreover, shop clerks are very friendly, and they know well about breweries.

Yesterday, I tried Koshikibu Japanese wine from Kyoto.

It was light taste, but I heard that was the owner's idea.

Because he had been seeking for a new type of wine which suits Japanese cuisine.

Japanese wine is still developing now but I hope that Japanese wine will be acknowledged in the world, same as Yamazaki and Hibiki whisky.

New era name "Reiwa" announced

The new era name "Reiwa" was announced yesterday, on April 1st.

f:id:tamabar:20190402085706j:plain
Chinese character of "Rei" made me imagine "Cabinet Order of Tax Law,"

It is strict word for me, because I am a Tax Accountant.

However "Wa" relieved me.
Because that Kanji means not only "peace," but also "harmony," "Japanese," "Nagomi, relaxation."

By the way, my deceased ground mother lived among Taisho, Shouwa, Heisei era.
However, I haven't expected that I will live among 3 eras of Showa, Heisei, Reiwa.

I hope that Reiwa era will thrive, and that we will be able to live in peace of mind.

Heisei era = Consumption Tax era

Next new era name " ??" is going to be announced at 11:30 AM today.

Consumption Tax 3% was enforced in Japan on April 1 in 1989.
Just 30 years ago from now, and it was the first year of Heisei era.

It means that the beginning of Heisei era was equal to the first year of Consumption Tax.

At that time, I was a high school student.
I don't remember much about it actually, and I had not imagined becoming a tax accountant in the future...

Next era name "?? " will be the first year of Consumption Tax 10% and 8% & 10% multiple tax rates after Consumption Tax hike, which are going to be started from October 1st.
